Blue Avionics BA-540 Adaptable Avionics Unit (AAU) is FAA certified by Peregrine on the Embraer EMB-120 to provide interface between dual GTN-650 GPS/COMM/NAV/MFD and the Flight Data Acquisition Unit (FDAU). The BA-540 AAU also provides dedicated discrete outputs for side 1 and side 2 marker beacons.

The BA-540 AAU is configured to reformat the Dual GTN-650 GPS/NAV/COMM/MFD ARINC 429 outputs to be compatible with the existing FDAU / Flight Data Recorder (FDR) for the aircraft. In addition, the BA-540 AAU converts the ARINC 429 outputs from the GTN-650 GPS/NAV to dedicated inner, middle, and outer marker beacon outputs for both GTN-650 GPS/NAV.
