Bombardier Q400 TAWS Mode 5 on LPV/RNP Approach with Existing EGPWS

Using the existing TAWS system and LPV Navigational system, the BA-440 Router/Filter or BA-540 Adaptable Avionics Unit will detect LPV or RNP approaches then provide the psuedo localizer and gluideslope information to TAWS to provide aural TAWS Mode 5 Glideslope Alerting during a LPV or RNP approach. The BA-440 or BA-540 will also provide LPV discretes annunciation.

Install the BA-440 Router/Filter or BA-540 Adaptable Avionics Unit between the existing ILS or General Purpose Bus the TAWS system. The BA-440 or BA540 will handle the rest for a faction of the cost of other solutions.
The system is currently FAA and EASA certified on the Bombardier Q400 Regional Turboprop. This same system can used on your aircraft model.

TAWS Mode 5 during LPV and RNP Approach is just one of many functions the Highly Configurable BA-440 Router/Filter or BA-540 Adaptable Avionics Unit Systems are able to perform with configurations only. No Hardware or Software changes required.
